Why should I hire an interior designer?
Whether you have an idea of what you want to achieve or not, it’s an Interior designer’s role to execute your style and desires by tying pieces together with a keen eye for detail. Although it sounds strange, hiring a designer can save you money by keeping you on a budget and saving you time and effort.
How involved in the process will I need to be?
You can choose how involved you wish to be. If you have a busy schedule, then hiring a designer can be beneficial, as you can dictate how and when you wish to communicate. I am happy to manage each stage of the design.
What should I have at our first meeting?
You do not have to have a clear understanding of the design style you wish to create. However, what would help is to have images of examples of rooms or furniture you like. Understanding your objective and lifestyle needs for the space will assist the process, as well as knowing your budget and time frame.
Current floor plans will also be useful.
What cities do you work in?
Whilst we offer an E-design service for any client from all around the world, for home visits, we are specifically available for projects in London and the surrounding areas of Kent, Essex, and Surrey.
However, if you have a major project outside of the mentioned areas, we can accommodate communication via email and telephone.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST CONSULTATION?
The initial consultation is the interview stage where we collect as much information as possible concerning your style preference, design objectives, time scale, and budget. Measurements and pictures will be taken of the room/s, and a list will be compiled of all required work to be done/designed.
Why do you have a design fee and a purchasing fee on the product?
The design fee is for all aspects of the design process. From solving your design requirements to providing beneficial advise. The purchasing fee covers the process of creating purchase orders, liaising with vendors/and coordinating deliveries to the client. There is a lot that goes into making sure the clients’ peace of mind is met.
